The old Paleface Ranch stables are situated in an oak grove, on the south side of State Highway 71, just a few yards west of the blinking light opposite Paleface Ranch Road. Map There is ample free parking adjacent to the show grounds. At the entry gate area, you will learn about the Spicewood Arts Society, its performances and its support of the arts in the local schools. The artists display their work in 14 stables and in their own tents arranged in a U configuration so that you can easily see all the artists' booths. The old oak trees provide shade and encourage people to linger and enjoy the ambience of a Hill Country landmark. |

Admission is free, but we encourage your donations which support activities of the Spicewood Arts Society. In particular, we apply much of the money raised at the festival to supporting the arts in the local schools. For the past two years we have donated money to help defray the costs of a publication by the Spicewood Elementary School, called Expressions. This magazine format book includes art work, prose, and poetry from every child in the school. The magazine is sold by the school to help raise funds for their art program. We also arrange and pay for performers to entertain the students at least once each year when they are performing for as part of our regular performance season. |
