The Spicewood Arts Society was established to provide an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting arts and artists; giving instruction in the arts; and encouraging the production, cultivation, exhibition and dissemination of the visual, performing and literary arts in the Spicewood community.

Spicewood Arts Society aspires to serve as cultural resource for every member of the community. The organization will accomplish this mission by promoting the literary, performing and visual arts through exhibitions, performances, and educational programs. It also will seek to provide the opportunity for people of all ages and social positions to encounter, create and enjoy art.

To implement this mission we will focus on four areas:

a. performances and programs for those who wish to enhance their appreciation and understanding of the arts;

b. exhibitions and performances for local artists to demonstrate and others to enjoy their artistic achievements;

c. community outreach through new audience development and enhanced community ties through professional networking;

d. development of facilities to serve as a venue to house, accommodate and facilitate the programs and activities envisioned in this statement.
